                (1) The technical level of power capacitors will be further improved. Power capacitors are the core of reactive power compensation devices. At present, mainly relying on imports and realizing the localization of the series compensation device as soon as possible are important measures to increase transmission capacity and ensure system stability.

China has successfully operated 5 ultra-high voltage DC lines, and power capacitors are one of the important equipment. In DC converter stations, 9 different types of power capacitors have been applied. Among them, the parallel capacitors have been domestically produced. The capacity is still in the stage of small batch trial operation, mainly relying on imports. Therefore, it is imperative to realize the localization of the entire variety of DC transmission capacitors, especially the localization of AC and DC filter capacitors, and strive to reach or approach the advanced level of foreign countries.


                (5) Accelerate scientific research and development, and promote the application of reactive power compensation device technology.
